What Bomba is
Bomba is a non-custodial trading interface for mobile. It is an iOS
application that lets a person connect a wallet they control and place orders on
third-party, publicly accessible protocols — prediction markets and perpetual
futures — from a single screen, in their own language, on their own phone.
Bomba is software. It does not hold anyone's money, it does not take the other side
of anyone's order, and it does not create, price or settle the markets it displays.
Those functions belong to the third-party protocols a user chooses to interact with,
and to the licensed payment providers a user chooses to fund their wallet through.
How it works
Four steps, and Bomba never touches the funds
- A wallet the user controls
On first launch, an embedded self-custodial wallet is created for the user through
Privy, a third-party wallet infrastructure provider. The user holds the keys.
Bomba cannot move, freeze or recover the assets in it.
- Funding, through licensed third parties
A user funds that wallet either by transferring digital assets they already hold,
or by using a regulated third-party payment provider integrated into the app. Where
a card or bank payment is involved, that provider is the merchant of record and the
sole recipient of the funds. Bomba Labs, Inc. never receives, holds, converts or
transmits any user's money.
- Orders, routed out
The app presents markets published by third-party protocols. When a user places an
order, the app builds a transaction that the user signs from their own wallet and
submits it to the relevant protocol. Bomba is not a party to it.
- Settlement, by the protocol
Outcomes, prices and settlement are determined entirely by the third-party protocol
and its own mechanisms. Proceeds return to the user's wallet. Bomba has no role in
resolution and no discretion over the result.
What the app does
- Creates and secures a self-custodial embedded wallet on first launch.
- Aggregates markets from supported third-party protocols into one readable feed.
- Builds, previews and submits user-signed orders to those protocols.
- Shows live positions, order history and portfolio value read from public
on-chain data.
- Integrates third-party funding options so a user can add assets to their own
wallet without leaving the app.
- Is being built Spanish-first, for readers who are badly served by
English-only interfaces.
What Bomba is not
- Not a custodian. We never hold, control or have access to user assets or
private keys.
- Not a counterparty. We never take the other side of a user's order and have
no position in any market shown in the app.
- Not an exchange or a venue. We do not operate an order book, match orders,
list markets of our own, or resolve outcomes.
- Not an exchanger of assets. We do not convert one asset into another for
users and do not quote prices.
- Not a payment institution. We do not accept, hold or transmit fiat currency
in any jurisdiction. All fiat is handled end-to-end by licensed third-party payment
providers under their own terms.
- Not an adviser. Nothing in the app is investment, legal or tax advice, and
no content in it is a recommendation.
